It’s almost been a year now since the COVID-19 pandemic caused us to shelter in place. We’ve certainly had our ups and downs, and have made it stronger together so far. We’re not happy about indoor dining closing temporarily, however have developed some serious strength in the kitchen. We’re missing nightclubs on the weekends, however wake up early for park and city walks regularly. Even though we miss our ‘old life’ we’ve embraced a new one and have formed some new habits and date ideas that will become a part of our life when we’re out of these pandemic times.
Here’s some things we now do in our free time together:
Cook a meal together. Tip: compile all your recipes in one place so you can go back and use them and find them easily.
Book a night at a local boutique hotel. It’s a staycation! Check out onenight.com for last minute hotel bookings.
Play E.P.I.C. Consent Cards and share stories, play games, and get intimate.
Listen to records together, or listen to digital music together. Go back and forth playing songs you love.
Catch up on sports. Keep up with your favorite team, or pay attention to a new sport.
Start a blog together. See, we did it!
Start a plant family. It’s super rewarding seeing them grow and they make oxygen!
Give each other massages. Use a lotion or oil that smells and feels good.
Go on a walk together. Scope out a local park and walk to it. Stop by a local cafe or bakery for a treat.
Watch a series together on your favorite streaming app. Start a trilogy for loads of movie fun.
